A Mystical Poem by Sonnet Mondal from the upcoming ‘Karmic Chanting’ series

Promises and Commitments are the most brittle words in the human lexicon of emotions. It is quite expected to get affected by them. Rising and falling through these words are also common but one must not lose the great virtue of ‘waiting’.

Webbed in your love
our actions seemed predestined.
Every thought was weaved with perfection
like that of a far forming twister.

Standing like a lonely farmer watching
the carpet of rice fields
growing and glowing in greenery
I was musing over the far folding clouds
busy to loosen up another night of obscurity.
When will my watered children grow up?
Will the next dawn shine with crystal shine
through dews on greener fields?

Or the sun will shine brighter than ever
to burn out their vigour
and the glee of my eyes?

The years on this earth has been
a constant trade of futuristic thoughts.

From the early promises in the earliest days of my life
I have earned the power of waiting
to wait till the last day
when the shackles of dawn and dusk
will be removed
and my soul will be offered in the altar of holiness.
